three words i want on me.

romantic - to still believe in something after being shown it isn’t safe.
gentleman - to be gentle when nothing forces you to be.
soldier - to keep going when the belief and the gentleness cost you.

people think these are three different men.
they are not.
they are the same man on three different days
and the third one is what makes the first two more than a personality.

anyone can be soft when it’s easy.
anyone can be hard when it’s necessary.
the whole task is being soft on the days it’s not necessary
and hard on the days it isn’t rewarded.
