alone

i am good at being alone.
i’ve made it a skill. i’ve made it a personality.

but there’s a difference between choosing solitude
and being so used to it
that company starts to feel like work.

i crossed that line somewhere and i didn’t notice,
and i don’t know how to walk back across it.
